Preparation
Unlike die cast metal cars, you will need some spray paint, glue and an exacto or hobby knife. You will need to plan ahead for what parts of the car should be painted in what color and know how you want the finished product to look before you start gluing pieces together. The realization of your dream car cannot occur overnight. Once you've decided what colors of paint you will need, you will also want to trim the excess plastic on all of the car parts and surfaces to give it that smooth, finished look. Once your parts are painted, it is best to give it 2 days or longer to completely dry, to avoid smudging the precious paints.
